Pequin Pods

The word Pequin is derived from the Spanish word “pequeño”, meaning small, referring to the size of the fruits. This thin-fleshed chile is light orange-red in color with a smoky, intense flavor. Grown in the regions from Sonora to Chiapas and
Tamaulipas to Yucatan, Pequin is very pungent with a typical SHU range of 100,000 to 140,000.
