California chile, also known as Anaheim chile or chile colorado, is a sweet and versatile chile. Mostly grown in Chihuahua, this bright, scarlet red chile has an elongated tapered shape. It is a mild variety of the New Mexico Chile pepper with a typical SHU range of 500 to 1500.
